Chewable tab - the usual dose :- 1.5 gm daily. renal osteodystrophy :- 2.5 mg daily, increased to up to 17 gm daily.

Cardiac arrhythmias, Hypercalcemia, Hypercalciuria, Hyperphosphataemia, Hypoparathyroidism, Ventricular tachycardia, Vit d toxicity
Abdominal pain, Anorexia, Cardiac arrhythmias, Coma, Constipation, Flatulence, G.I.Upset, Hot flushes, Hypercalcaemia, Irritation and inflammation at the site of administration, Local pain, Mental confusion, Milk alkali syndrome, Muscle weakness, Nausea/vomiting, Nephrocalcinosis, Peripheral vasodilatation, Polydypsia, Polyuria, Renal calculi, Sinus bradycardia, Skin necrosis, Soft tissue calcification
